Bloody Well Approved
The out-of-control City of Moreton Bay planning officers have approved the development. This is despite the facts that the planned building does not meet the Adopted Planning Scheme
The approval reflects poorly on the whole Council. The Planning Officers misused their "delegated authority" to approve the application. Where there is such delegation of authority, there must be oversight. This oversight is non-existent at the out-of-control City of Moreton Bay. How can we trust the Council going forward?

Of the Several Official Complaints lodged with the City of Moreton Bay, to date none has been answered.
There is a full Council meeting scheduled for 16-July-2025 which we hope will address the many governance complaints and resolve this issue.
If the Council does not rescind the approval then we are planning to take further drastic actions. The mis-use of delegated authority within Council cannot be allowed to continue. The adoption of the normalisation of deviance has taken the Council down a dark path.
18 February 2025
Several Official Complaints concerning the handling of the DA/2024/4695 have been sent to the City of Moreton Bay.
These have been sent direct to their Governance Complaints Dept.
As soon as we get some/any resolution we will post details here.

One available option we have left is to make a formal complaint to Council using their Governance Complaints process.
We have several draft complaint documents prepared that we would welcome interested members send to Council. There is no cost to sending in a complaint.
If you would like a set of pre prepared documents you would consider sending to Council, please contact our Facilitator, John Griffiths (GlobalJohn@gmail.com) or email to feedback@25marine.com.
12 February 2025
Today two members attended the Council meeting held at 9:30am Wednesday 12th February.
A five minute well prepared presentation was delivered by Ian Flint. Following the presentation, Councillors present applauded the presentation.
6 February 2025
Today two members again met with Councillor Karl Winchester, being the fifth time. Karl was asked if we could send a representative from Waves to address a Council Meeting. We were advised that this was possible and that we would need to make a request to the Council with the next available Council meeting being 12th February.

The 25 Marine Action Group has today made initial contact with Legal Advisors.
The advice received from the Lawyer was that we have no grounds for making objections to the present Application as the Council Planners have deemed it "Code Assessable".
30 January 2025
The 25 Marine Action Group has today made initial contact with Legal Advisors, and we have sent them details of our submissions and letters to Council.
Also today, two members met with Councillor Karl Winchester for the fourth time in connection with our concerns. Karl is fully aware of our position on the issue and it seems there is little he can do within the Council. The DA has been assessed as Code Assessable which means there is no public invitation for submissions.
